Possible Obama connection in gun arrests

advertisement

With a large part of Denver under Federal occupation, a routine DUI stop interferes with what might just be a drug-addled meth-head's supposed plan to kill Senator Obama. Sure glad the FBI's army is running things, aren't you?

Three men were arrested on drug charges in Aurora, Denver and Glendale — one of them carrying weapons that authorities said may have been intended for use in "credible threat" against Barack Obama.

Authorities refused to detail the reasons they were investigating a possible plot, though law enforcement sources said the men may be part of an Aryan Nation group.

U.S. Attorney Troy Eid, who said he may have more to say Tuesday afternoon, insisted that Obama, and visitors for the Democratic National Convention were never in danger.

"We can say this: We're absolutely confident there is no credible threat to the candidate, the Democratic National Convention, or the people of Colorado," Eid said.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

It is the gun's fault! If we banned those horrible guns they would not lead people astray like this! We all know that guns conspire to destroy us all! Guns roam the streets at night just looking for a way to start trouble! And there are those gangs of guns that threaten our inner cities. We should melt them all down and there would be no crime!

If there were no guns, there would be no killing! Hmm, I wonder how they killed people during the crusades. They must have had guns!

Actually, now that you bring it up...

Why is it so easy for three dipsh*t meth-heads to get a gun in the first place?

Now, now, gentlemen. It's not the gun's fault and it's not the poor addled meth-head's fault. It's obviously the fault of the meth itself! (And the homosexuals, of course.)

If we would only commit more resources to the War On Drugs Other Than Alcohol Or Tobacco (WODOTAOA) we could make the world safe for good drugs like, coincidentally, alcohol and tobacco. After all, firearms are a sacred American right, just like alcohol and tobacco. That's why we put them all together in one Federal agency which uses firearms to defend alcohol and tobacco from being eclipsed by those other evil drugs.

Now, pony up the taxes, folks: we've got toys to buy and jails to fill! God Bless America.
